Christmas Shop for the Elderly

The Christmas Shop project is always really popular with the volunteers and the elderly clients who take part.  For some of the clients it the only time they get to go out to the shops. On last year’s trip, one elderly lady said it was the first time that she’d seen the Christmas Lights in seven years!

Volunteers pair up to accompany an elderly person around the shop, so feel free to invite your friends to take part.

TAB Christmas Family Fun Day

Take A Break provide support to children and young people with disabilities, and their families.  Every year we help them to provide a fun Christmas event with something for all ages, including crafts, music, a sensory room, and a soft play area.

We need friendly and mature volunteers to help the children and their families get involved in the activities.  For more information contact the AYA team. 

When: Monday 15th December

Where: Starting at Queens Park Arts Centre

Volunteers Christmas Party

This is THE Christmas social event to have in your diary!  You don’t want to miss out on the silly games, yummy food and surprise presents from your very own Secret Santa! 

We will meet at Queens Park Arts Centre after school for some festive fun and then go on to a restaurant for some lovely food—last year the volunteers chose Noodle Bar.  You’ll need to bring enough money with you to pay for your meal and drinks, speak to a member of the AYA team if this will be difficult.

When: Monday 17th November

Where: QPC

Time: 4-5.30pm

Christmas Project Training

Christmas project training will take place on Monday 17th November.  Join us at the Queens Park Arts Centre to find out everything you need to know about our Christmas projects!
